Maintenance Excellence

Our maintenance operation is supported by an extensive range of tooling, complete and current maintenance manual subscriptions, and a state-of-the-art maintenance tracking, parts, and inventory management system.

Our team has broad turbine engine experience, including both line and heavy maintenance type courses.

Provincial Airways is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO #61-20) with a structure’s endorsement.

At Provincial Airways, our focus is on delivering professional, effective aerial application and aircraft maintenance services while maintaining strong relationships with our customers, community, and industry partners. Our people, facilities, and reputation reflect our commitment to a strong and sustainable future in aviation.

Our History

1996

Precision West Ag was founded over 30 years ago by Jim Wood, a farmer from Pense, Saskatchewan. It has remained in the family and is now passed on to Jim’s sons, Levi and Paul Wood, along with James Pottage, our Operation Manager.

2008

Precision West Ag acquired Provincial Airways, an established aerial application business based at the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport.

2013

We further expanded by acquiring the operation in Rosetown, SK, extending our service throughout west-central Saskatchewan.

2021

We hired our first Chief Flight Instructor and began offering flight training at our Moose Jaw location.

Today

Provincial Airways has grown into one of Saskatchewan’s leading aerial application operators. We operate a fleet that includes Turbine Thrushes, Air Tractors, along with a Piper Pawnee, and a Turbine Piper Brave for onboarding new Ag pilots. For flight training, we have a Cessna 172 outfitted with modern avionics. For charter needs, we have a Piper Navajo.
